Sakia Gunn Memorial Page
Sakia Gunn was 15 years old when she was murdered for being a lesbian. According to news reports, Sakia was waiting for a bus in 2003 when she was killed.
Evidently, her murderer and another male to wanted Sakia and another friend to have sex with them. The girls declined, saying they were lesbians. Anti-gay comments were made, a scuffle started and Sakia was stabbed. The men reportedly drove away yelling homophobic comments.
