Just recently I read the details of Matthew´s death in the internet , like everybody the firts feeling is shock for the brutality and pain sufered by Matthew. Gays like me that have leaved in small comunities when young and studied there , I´m certain , have been bullied, mocked, insulted and sometimes beaten.

Mrs and Mr Shepard, last week saw I the movie about your son Matthew. I cried much after the movie`s end.That who happened Matthew is very tragic and terrible.I HOPE one day that this world be BETTER for ALL people in this world for EVERYONE is EQUAL VALUABLE.

I saw the story about matthew on tv tonite. And my heart goes out to matthews family and friends. A life was taken from this earth where everyone has the same right to live. I will never understand this visious crime and I hope the guilty person really gets what he deserves.
Matthew will forever be in me and my familys hearts. We will never forgett him eventhoug we didnt meet him it feels like we did after tonite.

Tonight I saw the movie about Matthews life and death on Swedish telivision. It touched my hart. How can people hate so much that they take another persons life???? I belive that everyone on this planet have the same right to live and love whoever they want. If it is a boy or a girl you love should not matter! I`m also a mother to a 13 year old son. I can not see my life without him by my side. Matthews parents will from this day always be in my hart. Good bless you!

Racism is the stupidiest thing I can think of.
It's the same as hating someone because of he's wearing a red sweater or something.
I've worked night shifts at the postoffice.
Many youth from all over the world worked over there and everyone could get along.
I had a real great time there.

It makes me real sad to see how much hate there is in this world.
Like the thing that happend in Belgium last week.
Where a 18 year old boy shot 3 people because they were black :confused:
Why do these things happen?
When will this madness stop?

Maybe when the media stops telling only bad things about foreigners and starts showing the good things they do.

I am surfing for resources to use ona blog for crime prevention and found you. Scary stuff to be sure but I am here to tell you that age discrimination is alive and well today in the US. Millions and millions of folks are going to caught up in the squeeze between forced early termination due to downsizing and the continuing economic pressure to forestall/curtail/reduce benefits from Soc Sec. It is going to be ugly.
